History

Sep. 1, 1988Opened the Traditional Crafts Center (in Gyeongbokgung Palace)
Aug. 14, 1995Renamed the Traditional Crafts Center as the Korea Traditional Handicrafts Museum (in Gyeongbokgung Palace)
Nov. 29, 1997Opened the Training Center for Important Intangible Cultural Properties (Samseong-dong)
Mar. 23, 1998Reorganized and moved the Korea Traditional Handicrafts Museum into the Training Center for Important Intangible Cultural Properties (Samseong-dong)
Mar. 4, 2013Expanded educational programs by operating the training rooms for important intangible cultural properties in the permanent exhibition hall
Dec. 16, 2015Reopened “Gyeol,” the exhibition hall at the second floor of the Training Center for Important Intangible Cultural Properties
May 18, 2016Reopened “Ol,” the exhibition hall at the third floor of the Training Center for Important Intangible Cultural Properties
