Saenggwabang of Gyeongbokgung
Located in Sojubang at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Saengwabang was one of the six departments in charge of housekeeping and was also called Saengmulbang or Saenggeotbang. It was responsible for preparing desserts and special meals for the king and queen. The Gyeongbokgung Saenggwabang Program is a paid experience program designed based on the contents of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty for people to learn about and enjoy the refreshments and herbal tea served to the king. At Hogweso, located inside Saenggwabang, you can choose from the refreshment and herbal tea menus to have a taste.
