About us

Cultural Property Investigation and Research Center of Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation is a specialized res-earch institute founded in 1995 to investigate, protect, and manage tangible cultural property (buried culturalproperty).
Cultural Property Investigation and Research Center began to investigate Injeongjeon at Changdeokgung Palace and has investigated archeologically significant remains such as Cheongri and Sinheung-ri in Sangju, Imdang in Gyeongsan, Yongam in Cheongju, Daegok Dam in Ulsan, Janggi in Gimpo, and Pangyo in Seongnam, and has issued academic reports and reported those results to academia.
Since 2010, we have been in charge of small government-funded excavation projects to aid with excavation costs for individuals and small-scale business.
In addition, since 2013, we have participated in excavation projects (Hong Nang Sida in Laos) to preserve and to restore world heritage in developing countries as part of Official Development Assistance (ODA).
Hence, Cultural Property Investigation and Research Center, as a public organization of Cultural Heritage Admini-stration, will lead to investigate, preserve, and manage cultural heritage while serving as the dedicated institute for public excavation, and will do the best to promote public benefits through the excavation survey.
Thank you.
